Core Curriculum + Focus

Our coaches are constantly being trained, as our curriculum continues to evolve when new games and exercises are introduced by Coerver® Coaches, from all over the world.

Over three decades of cooperative curriculum development has afforded us the opportunity to finely-tune our methods for incorporating skills into competitive environments, while building player confidence along the way. The difficulty of the moves we teach and the intensity of the competition increases at each program level.

The First Skills program focuses on teaching the individual skills indispensable for success in soccer. FUN is the central theme to all sessions as skills are introduced and practiced in a joyful environment.

The Performance Academy program will focus on individual skill in all areas of the game with an emphasis on Ball Mastery and the four core Coerver Move Sets. The goal of the Performance Academy camp is to teach our players the “how” to execute our individual moves. Our goal is to develop skilled, confident, and creative players that have the ability to break down a defense alone if needed. When a level of competence has been established, small-sided games that encourage the use of new skills are played.

The Center of Excellence program will focus on more complicated moves and the “when” and “where” to use those moves sets in-game settings. Players are put in many situations that require decision making as that is a key ingredient to advanced play. Players are taught the difference between a good first touch and the right first touch with an emphasis on receiving the ball skillfully but also tactically away from pressure and quickly into the attack.
